Long-term fans of the Battlefield series may be surprised to see the return of the Medic class for Battlefield 1, as the role of a healer has been combined into the Assault build since Battlefield 2.
The developer has announced that there will be four core classes: Assault, Medic, Scout, and Support. That's not going to be the only change to the Battlefield format, however, as DICE has also revealed some changes to the class structure of the game. A highly-promoted reveal eventually led to the announcement of Battlefield 1 , a title that is set to bring the shooter series into a World War I-era setting.
